obscurellus Family: Miridae A small dark bug which is covered in pale hairs and was previously placed in the Psallus group. Note the long tibial spines, which do not arise from black spots, as well as the entirely dark cuneus. Common across much of England on Scots Pine Pinus sylvestris; may be easily confused with Plesiodema pinetella. Compare: P. pinetella, Psallus sp. Adult: June-August Length ~3.0 mm |
