Liorhyssus hyalinus
Family: Rhopalidae
Key to the Rhopalidae of Central Europe (German)

This bug is somewhat similar to Rhopalus and Stictopleurus species but is readily distinguished by the very long wing membrane, which extends well beyond the body. The upperside of the abdomen is mainly dark and there are usually two dark spots on the pronotum, close to the hind corners. The ground color varies from yellow-brown to red.

Historically a very rare vagrant to Britain, this species has been found more frequently in recent years, particularly on the coasts of England and Wales and also in the East Anglian brecks. Foodplants include storksbill and various composites.
