| Arthaldeus
striifrons Family: Cicadellidae Arthaldeus species are greenish-yellow deltocephaline leafhoppers. There are two British species, both of which have two short dark streaks at the tip of the vertex. In A. striifrons, the dark area of the face has a longitudinal pale streak (unlike the closely related A. pascuellus). The forewing cells are usually uniformly yellow-green. This is a local species on grasses, often in damp locations. It is traditionally regarded as predominantly southern, but may have spread northwards in recent decades. Adult: July to October Length 3-4 mm |
