| Cicadula
saturata Family: Cicadellidae A difficult genus of mostly green leafhoppers, easily recognised by the combination of yellow-green colouration (often with dark spots on the vertex), and long antennae. C. saturata is among the most distinctive species, with an intense orange-yellow colouring (especially on the face), and no dark edge to the anteclypeus. The black spots on the vertex are roughly the same size as those on the face/vertex margin. Found locally in marshy places across eastern and central England, and parts of eastern Scotland. Adult: June to August Length 4-5.5 mm |
