Idiocerus confusus Family: Cicadellidae Sometimes referred to as Populicerus confusus, this species is predominantly green, with reddish-brown shading across the inner (especially anterior) parts of the translucent forewings. The abdomen is black above but green at the sides, while the face, vertex and pronotum are green or yellow-green. Sometimes the posterior part of the pronotum is brownish, as here. It occurs across the UK on Salix species (sallows). Adult: June to October Length 5-6.5 mm |
