orange-brown species has a markedly wide head (about two thirds
the width of base of the pronotum) and the rostrum is long, reaching
well beyond the hind coxae.
Found on conifers, in particular Scots Pine. A widespread species throughout much of Britain.
Adult: June-September
Length 4-5 mm
